Privacy Policy for Blockwave
Effective date: 28 October 2026
Blockwave (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a block puzzle game. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.
The short version
We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or location. There is no account and no sign-up. Your scores and settings stay on your device. The app does show advertising, and our advertising partner collects some data to do that.
Data stored on your device
The app saves the following locally, using your device’s own storage:
- Your high score, games played and total lines cleared
- Your daily challenge results: the day you last played, that run's score, your best daily score, and your current and best streak
- Your current game, so you can close the app and resume
- Your sound on/off preference
- When an advert was last shown and how many games since, so you are not shown them too often
This information never leaves your device. We cannot see it, it is not sent to any server, and it is not backed up to us. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
Advertising
Blockwave is free and supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob. The app shows banner and full-screen adverts, and offers rewarded adverts that are always your choice to watch.
To serve ads, Google may collect and process:
- Your device’s advertising ID
- Device information such as model, operating system version and language
- Approximate location, derived from your IP address
- Interactions with the ads shown to you
We never receive this information ourselves. It is collected by Google under its own privacy policy:
Your choices about ads
- Reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device. You can also turn off ad personalisation there.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows a consent form before serving personalised ads, and you can change your choice later.
Children
Blockwave is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will act on it.
Permissions
The app requests internet access, which is used only to load advertising. It does not request your camera, microphone, contacts, files, or precise location.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
